Lift Refurbishment:
Npv Cranes & Maintenance have a comprehensive Lift Refurbishment and Lift Modernisation service for all types and makes of lifts. We can take on the role of main contractor if required, in order that we can assist you in keeping your lift in the best possible working order. We usually start by carrying out a detailed survey of your lift so that we can then put forward our recommendations for lift refurbishment or modernisation in the form of a detailed specification. The work undertaken during a lift modernisation might include the following:Modifying your lift to comply with current standards/legislation,Aesthetic enhancements to the lift car and landing doors/entrances. Enhancements to control/drive systems to improve: Reliability; Ride quality; Traffic flow and speed.
An old lift does not necessarily need replacing in its entirety. In fact, doing so may be extremely difficult due to the design or layout of the existing installation. Instead, you can have a lift modernised whereby obsolete components are replaced by their modern equivalent. A lift modernisation would normally be a larger job than a lift refurbishment, and would involve us carrying out a detailed survey of your lift in order that we can put forward our recommendations in the form of a detailed specification.

Loadtesting & Inspection.
Npv Cranes & Maintenance has many years experience in providing certified load and performance testing services of overhead cranes, jibs, gantries, monorails and hoists. We are capable of testing new, reinstalled, altered, repaired or modified equipment in order to ensure compliance with OSH Act.
The requirements of the OHS Act DMR18.5 states that lifting machinery must be load tested at intervals not exceeding 12 months. This consists of performing a load test to test hoisting and lowering of load, hoist brake hold, trolley and bridge operations where applicable.
Prior to performing any load test, a pre-inspection is performed to ensure the equipment is within safety standards. After the testing has been successfully completed, a load test certification document is provided. Those units which fail testing, will be required to be withdrawn from service until any noted deficiencies are corrected.
This is necessary in order to prevent failure of the equipment and the possibility of an accident. Weights are available for load testing include portable concrete and steel weights. Waterbags are also available for special applications. Load cell, slings, and shackles are also provided.
Safety is always of primary concern.

Whatever the size or finish of the shutter curtain, power operated or manual operation, standard or fire-rated we can generally offer a guide price proposal by return.
Roller Shutter Doors consist essentially of a curtain of interlocking slats which form a continuous hinge along their entire length. This construction permits the curtain to roll up or down as it is raised or lowered onto a reel which is mounted onto steel support brackets. A bottom rail fitted to the curtain strengthens the curtain and allows for the fitment of handles and locking devices.
The curtain is also prevented from moving side-ways by side channels or guides. The entire assembly is either bolted or welded to the structure and the rolling mechanism is enclosed in a canopy hood.
